Michou – The Waiting (Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers)

Winter ends. Leases expire. Salt-stained shoes dry out. It’s the natural order of things. But before Bellwoods bakes in the summer sun, there’s always that transition period where four part harmonies sound the best dancing in and out of the budding trees. So Michou dressed for the occasion — caps and jackets boys, caps and jackets — and headed to Bellwoods. Their pop sensibilities stuck out like albino squirrels, despite the boys straying from the usual stage arrangements towards simple harmonies and acoustic strums. The Windsor-natives filled the pavilion with sing-a-long love songs and “ah-woooooooooooooh” — even paying homage to Tom Petty with a cover of “The Waiting”.
